Swedish micro fuel cell company myFC will showcase a fully functional concept vehicle for the automotive sector in the middle of 2020, as previously announced. myFC has now selected the strategic partner who will adapt an electric car to contain myFC’s scalable, modular fuel cell technology: Jotech/Ecar Sweden.
The concept vehicle will be a fully functional fuel cell battery hybrid, developed for demonstration purposes. The intention is to generate wide recognition within the industry and put myFC on the map as a technology solution provider and world leader in micro fuel cell technology for the automotive sector. The concept vehicle will be showcased to stakeholders and the public.
Jotech/Ecar Sweden is dedicated to green technology innovation in the automotive sector and provides fully electric, fuel cells or range extender alternatives. The cooperation will include integrating myFC’s fuel cell technology – fuel cells, auxiliary systems, electronics and software – into a commercially available car model.
“Jotech/Ecar Sweden is an established expert in electric powertrain design for vehicles with a proven trackrecord in adaptions for e-Mobility and in building concept vehicles. I am very pleased to partner with them to realize our concept vehicle,” says Peter Friedrichsen, CEO of myFC.
“Fuel cell technology is an increasingly interesting possibility for energy supply in an electrified world. We are happy to partner with myFC to develop a concept version of what may be the next generation of electric vehicles,” says Roger Johansson, CEO of Jotech/Ecar Sweden.
The new fuel cell battery hybrid concept further develops the integration of myFC’s fuel cell technology and power & energy management to maximize the range and lifespan of the system.
